My journey didn't start in a workshop, but in the halls of a hospital. For years, I served as a Respiratory Therapist, working with thousands of CPAP patients. While I saw firsthand how life-changing sleep therapy could be, I also saw the struggle: the cold air condensation, the uncomfortable tubing, and the red marks left on faces every morning.

I knew there had to be a way to make therapy feel less like a "medical requirement" and more like a restful night’s sleep.

What began in 2003 as a small venture with my son—initially crafting artisan jewelry—eventually evolved into Designs by DaVal. I realized I could use my clinical expertise to design products that actually solve the "comfort gap" in sleep medicine.

Today, Snuggle Skins are more than just accessories; they are handmade in the USA with a focus on quality and care. Every insulating tube cover and "Cheeks" strap cover is designed with the same dedication I gave my patients for decades. I’ve since retired from the medical field to focus entirely on bringing you a better night’s sleep.
